This unique little sequined Caroline Mitchell Takahē decoration isn’t just for the Christmas tree, but is perfectly at home brightening up any dull corner of your home. Designed in New Zealand, and beautifully hand embroidered using traditional techniques in India, this feathered friend features sequins, beads and metallic threads, with a 9cm long hanging loop.

The Takahē are a larger flightless bird, which were thought to be extinct, until they were rediscovered in 1948. This nationally vulnerable bird are a beautiful vibrant blue, with bright green wings and a red beak. Almost prehistoric looking, they are quite a sight to see, with their colourful feathers gleaming in the sunlight
