Support us – Tautokana Mai

You can keep Pōneke stories and histories alive.

Did you know we welcomed over 165,000 domestic and international visitors to our museums last year?

Your support will help share our city’s stories, people and history, adding to the vibrancy of Pōneke and showcasing to Aotearoa, and the world, what makes your city so unique and loved.

Our visitors come from all backgrounds and have wide-ranging interests. Your support will spark curiosity and learning, protect precious tāonga and allow access for all.

As a charity, we are reliant on help and would be grateful if you would consider

  • Donating today
  • Signing up to become a monthly supporter
  • Partnering with us
  • Leaving a legacy

In turn, we will warmly invite you onto our waka. Sharing with you stories of hope, inspiration, discovery, and learning – all of which your gift will have played a vital part.

We love to work with like-minded organisations. If you’re interested in caring for and sharing the stories and history of our city please contact us today. We would love the opportunity to discuss how a partnership with Wellington Museum, Space Place, Cable Car Museum or Nairn Street Cottage could work for you.

Leaving a legacy

By including a gift to either Wellington Museum, Space Place, Nairn Street Cottage, the Cable Car Museum or the group as a whole, will ensure you leave a lasting legacy to the city you love.

No matter how big or small, a legacy gift is one of the most significant gifts you can make.

Your gift can be a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or even a specific property or asset. How it’s used is up to you. You may be happy for us to use your gift in the area of most need, or you might want to choose a specific programme or service that is special to you.

Need more information? Our dedicated team is available to answer any questions you may have. Please email us to find out more about how to leave a gift in your will to one of our museums, and how it will be used.
