Years 5–8

This exciting, full-day programme begins at Te Ara Whānui ki te Rangi Space Place in the morning to explore the science and stories of Puanga and Matariki. In the afternoon ākonga create a television show at Nōku te Ao Capital E’s OnTV studio. This show builds on their knowledge and understanding, using an in-house script. A lively, fun, and imaginative way for ākonga to connect the night sky to mana whenua knowledges and their own lives.

Duration: 1.5 hours at Space Place, Cable Car trip, and 2.5 hours at Nōku te Ao Capital E (9.30am -2.30pm). 

Cost: This visit is $16.00 per student, including entry to both Space Place and Capital E and a one-way trip on the Wellington Cable Car. Adults $9.50, one free adult for every eight students.
