What happens when the stories and histories of taonga have been lost? This programme introduces ākonga to Te Ohonga – an exhibition that restores life and warmth to taonga that have sat silently in Wellington Museum’s collection. The programme connects to taonga in other parts of the museum and clarifies how mauri, whakapapa and storytelling are essential to the power of knowledge.
