Learn how digital storytelling can connect people to place. This full-day programme invites ākonga to immerse themselves in the pūrākau of Ngake and Whātaitai. After taking part in an interactive session in Wellington Museum in the morning, ākonga share the pūrākau as a 3D digital text. The collaborative design process builds communication for learning and computational thinking. This programme can be adapted to enable ākonga to share stories that are significant for their school rohe.
Class size: Maximum 32 ākonga.
Duration: Full-day programme. 1 hour 30 mins at Wellington Museum and 2 hours at Nōku te Ao Capital E.
Cost: This visit is $14.00 per student, including entry to both Wellington Museum and Nōku te Ao Capital E (adults free of charge).
