The Kaleidoscope was invented by Sir David Brewster in 1816. he named his invention after Greek words, Kalos (Beautiful), Eidos (form) and Scopes (observer). So Kaleidoscope means observer of beautiful forms. They contain several mirrors, and when the angle between the mirrors is changed – the number of reflections changes. Kaleidoscopes are sometimes used as the light source behind flat screen TVs and computer monitors
