Use the power of the sun to capture stunning images with these classic Sunprint kits. Combining a science experiment with a craft kit, this is a great way to get kids interested in the science behind photography.
Developed by educators at the Lawrence Hall of Science, Sunprints encourage an interest in the photographic process using only sun, water, and a bit of imagination.
Place a fern, flower, or other object on the special paper and set it in the sun briefly. Then rinse the paper in water and watch as a beautiful long-lasting image appears!
The paper undergoes a chemical change when exposed to sunlight. The Sunprint paper can be used for a creative, solar art project. With this paper you can also demonstrate UV blocking sunscreen by smearing sunscreen on plexiglass and exposing the paper to the sun. Use different strengths of sunscreen and see how the image has changed.
Contains 12 4×4 inch sheets and an acrylic overlay.
