Description
Crafted from solid brass and copper, this ornate Vintage Brass Bosun’s Call Keyring is both functional and classic.
A great gift idea, this little trinket will ensure your keys are kept secure and close at hand, while also expressing your personality and interests. A knurled knob allows you to easily and securely add or remove keys from the ring.
Since the time of the Crusades the boatswain or bosun whistle has been used aboard sailing vessels. Crafted from a tube mouthpiece called the gun, a buoy with a spherical shape, a hole used to alter the sound and the stabilising piece of the keel, this brass keychain follows a centuries-old design. With its bright, crisp tone, orders to hoist the sails, haul in rope and let out rope were easily conveyed across any ship.
