Get hands-on with some tasty, edible science these school holidays at Space Place! Science Bites is an edible science workshop for tamariki aged 8-12 years old.  

Learn about rainbow diffraction chocolate, make your own gummy worms, eat glow-in-the-dark jelly, watch a volcano cake erupt, and finish off with liquid nitrogen ice cream! All the projects in this workshop are safe to eat, meaning kids can taste their creations as they learn. 

Tamariki will be excited to come home and share their new understanding of how science can be found in our everyday lives, even our kitchens! 

Workshops include a complimentary planetarium show. 

This workshop will involve handling and consuming some known allergens and substances your child may be sensitive to. Please refer to the list below and send us an email if you have any concerns.
