
An online NZ Music Month festival
Join us each Thursday in May for live streams of local musicians performing in iconic Wellington spaces for Aotearoa New Zealand Music Month.

Jeivenchy
Thursday 5 May | 7pm – 9pm
Wellington singer/songwriter Jeivenchy kicks off the online festival with some keyboard jams from Wellington Museum’s von Kohorn Boardroom.
Jeivenchy released dance-pop album ‘Fatal Attraction’ in March 2022. Expect his sleek snappy choruses to live in your head rent-free.

King Homeboy
Thursday 12 May | 8pm – 8:30pm
King Homeboy is New Zealand’s six-time beatboxing champion and has represented Aotearoa in competitions all over the world. He holds the record for the world’s longest individual beatboxing marathon at an astounding 34 hours!
Watch his unique performance streamed live from Nairn Street Cottage, one of the oldest homes in the city.

Riki Gooch & Isaac Smith
Thursday 19 May | 8pm – 8:30pm
Watch and listen two rhythmic maestros tinker around in the iconic Cable Car Museum.
Drummer and composer Riki Gooch of Trinity Roots joins multi-instrumentalist wizard Isaac Smith.
*Note: Ato Kwamena is unable to perform and Isaac is taking his place.

Heleyni & Marika Pratley
Thursday 26 May | 8pm – 8:30pm
Performing in the green-lit corridor of Space Place, Heleyni & Marika Pratley close the Rāpare Sessions.
Last year the sisters took Pyramid Club’s Creative Sound Residency at Thomas King Observatory.
Heleyni is a Poneke performance artist, her genre bending songwriting fuses elements of indie rock and electronic art pop with distorted guitar riffs and catchy melodies. Marika Pratley (Class War on the Dance Floor, Moody V and The Menstal Cycle) blends psychedelic beats to create unique disco punk sound.
