A stunning audiovisual music event performed by LOTU
Join us in Space Place for a stunning audiovisual performance by LOTU under the planetarium dome.
Frame of Mind explores mental states which reflect specific memories through self-reflection, visions, and time capsules of personal experiences, producing a range of emotions that paints a picture of an individual’s hauora. This special performance shows how a devised creative process can be focused on expressing a particular emotion through an audiovisual domain.
Come along and connect with music inspired by emotions, memories and the journey of healing.
“Music is a huge part of my life and is the biggest contributor to my mental health. Over the years, creating and listening to music has helped me alleviate stress and develop audio capsules. While not having the chance to indulge in music, I unintentionally feel low, flat and stuck. Music creates memories, collectiveness and supports individuals in their mental health needs.” – Connor Taumoepeau, LOTU
This performance is part of Takurua Hauora: Winter Wellness, a series of events promoting health and wellbeing aligned with the concept of Te Whare Tapa Whā.
