Nairn Street Preservation Society: Urban Beekeeping

Harvest honey in the city.

Join Cenna Lloyd from Local Flavour Urban Honey Co. as she talks about harvesting honey and urban beekeeping in Wellington.

Cenna will discuss the challenges that beekeepers face and the benefits of keeping bees in urban environments. You’ll be shown how beekeeping works and be given skills to plant your own bee-friendly garden.

Local Flavour Urban Honey Co. was set up in 2013, producing delicious raw honey – working with organic markets, local restaurants, community gardens and private suburban clients. They also help with beehive hire, leasing, hive installation and maintenance.

Dont forget to pickup your Nairn Street Preservation Society Tote Bag while you’re there!
