NSC Preservation Society – Preserving the Season

March 20, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$12.0

We’re Preserving the Season in a relaxed and hands-on workshop hosted alongside the Sustainability Trust.
Apricots, peaches, tomatoes and berries – they’re delicious at the height of summer, and you can learn how to preserve their flavours with the Nairn Street Preservation Society’s inaugural workshop.

This relaxed and hands-on workshop passes on the practical skills of our Grandmothers, stirring jams and pickling vegetables. Learn how to preserve the fruits (and vegetables) of the season to enjoy in the coming winter. Gain a new-found appreciation for the ease and taste of home preserved products and take home a jar of preserves to enjoy with friends and family.

The Wellington Sustainability Trust aims to provide advice, resources, services, and products that influences and improves the well-being and sustainability of households, communities, and businesses in the Wellington region.

Dont forget to pickup your Nairn Street Preservation Society Tote Bag while you’re there!
