Mark Gee Night Sky Photography Workshop

World renowned photographer Mark Gee returns to Space Place for a practical Night Sky photography workshop.

From the Moon to the Milky Way, stars to stellar nurseries, learn how to use your camera to its full potential to take shots of the night sky that will leave people saying WOW! Mark’s seminars are full of insider tips and tricks, and after the talk he will guide a practical workshop in the Botanical Gardens.

The talk introducing the techniques of astrophotography will take approximately one hour, with practice in the Botanical Gardens lasting between one to one and a half hours. Refreshments will be available at the end of the practical session.

Mark Gee is a Wellington based photographer of New Zealand’s stunning night skies. His work has won a raft of awards, winning the New Zealand Geographic Photographer of the Year, Harry Williams Astrophotography Trophy, Astronomy Photographer of the Year and Sony World Photography Awards, all in 2015.

These popular sessions have produced some stunning shots of the night sky and always fill up quickly, book today to secure your spot!

In order to participate you’ll need a DSLR camera, lenses and a tripod. Ages 16 years and up. Rain date is the 11th of May – please note participants need to be available for both dates.
