New planetarium shows

We’re thrilled to introduce three new planetarium shows to Space Place at Carter Observatory!

Introducing our latest planetarium shows

Our new planetarium shows Bella Gaia, The Family of the Sun, and Dinosaurs at Dusk are sure to captivate all ages.

We Are Stars Do you ever wonder how the universe was created? Roll up and experience the Big Bang, find out how atoms are made and discover the shared origin between planets, stars and you!

Bella Gaia is inspired by astronauts who spoke of the life changing power of seeing the Earth from space. A stunning journey of appreciation for the  beautiful planet that we call home, Bella Gaia incorporates dance, music, and breath-taking images of our beautiful planet from NASA.

Dinosaurs at Dusk takes you back in time to when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. Join Lucy and her father to discover the origins of flight and the ancestors of modern birds, and experience first-hand the cataclysmic “last day” of the dinosaurs. Recommended for our younger visitors.

The Family of the Sun is Space Place’s very own sing-along planetarium show. Join us as we learn about the southern stars and see how the Moon orbits Earth, before we find Pluto who is lost and all alone. Help Pluto through the solar system as he finds his way back home, and meets our planetary neighbours. Recommended for our youngest visitors/under 7s.
