Get the royal treatment starting at the Museum of Wellington City & Sea with quirky tales of Royal visits and crown jewel look-alikes. Then partake in some royal refreshments at the 5 star InterContinental Wellington.
With your VIP Cable Car pass, avoid the queues and take a return trip on the iconic Wellington Cable Car to visit Carter Observatory and the Cable Car Museum (admission charges to Carter Observatory apply).

Sail across Wellington harbour to explore the stunning natural environment of Matiu/Somes Island, enjoy a classic kiwi fish ’n chips lunch and discover the city’s history with a guided tour of the Museum of Wellington City & Sea.
Tours run seven days a week departing at 9.45am and finishing at 2.30pm. Tours run on weekends and public holidays.
Please note: If Matiu/Somes Island is closed due to heightened fire conditions, we will offer a special Days Bay tour variation, cruising across the harbour to this classic summer destination. This tour will start at 11am and finish at 3.45pm, if preferred – giving plenty of time to explore the stunning Eastbourne coast. Please phone the Museum team on 04 472 8904 to make bookings.

A fully escorted tour of Wellington’s cable car and two museums.
Start with a guided tour of the Museum of Wellington City & Sea, then ride the cable car escorted by your own 'gripman'. Stop for refreshments, marvel at the best views of the city, and tour the Cable Car Museum.
For large groups only (15 pax min) and bookings must be made one week prior to tour date.

Prices start at $300 for up to 15 kids. Additional kids will incur a $20pp cost with a maximum number of 20 able to be accommodated.

Any cancellations made within 24 hours prior to activity will incur a 50% fee. If activity is cancelled due to weather conditions considerations will be made.
