There's no need to go all the way to the Tower of London to view the Crown Jewels - the Museum of Wellington City & Sea has exact replicas with all the glamour of the originals. Enjoy a 40-minute tour of the Museum and partake in some royal refreshments (a great selection of barista coffees, teas and sweet or savoury treats available). Then avoid the queues and indulge in a fast-track return ride on the Wellington Cable Car to visit Carter Observatory and the Cable Car Museum (admission charges to Carter Observatory apply).
Tour departs 10.15am daily.

Explore the stunning natural environment of Matiu/Somes Island, discover the city’s history with a guided tour of the Museum of Wellington City & Sea, and enjoy a classic kiwi fish ’n chips lunch as you sail across Wellington harbour.
Tours run seven days a week departing at 11am and finishing at 3.45pm. Tours run on weekends and public holidays can also be shortened to 3 hours if so desired.
Bookings must be made by 5pm the day before the tour.

Taniwha Tales - hear fabulous stories of the magical creatures that may once have inhabited our harbour. Under the Sea - take a journey with the mysterious creatures of Wellington harbour. Prices start at $300 for up to 15 kids. Additional kids will incur a $20pp cost with a maximum number of 20 able to be accommodated.

Take an adventure along the waterfront and back to the Museum at your own pace. Ideal for large groups and ESOL students.
Any cancellations made within 24 hours prior to activity will incur a 50% fee. If activity is cancelled due to weather conditions considerations will be made.
