The focus of the Collections is the heritage and histories of the people of Wellington. Our Museums draw from the Collections for both permanent and temporary exhibitions and for research purposes.
See the NZ Museums website to view selected items from the Museum of Wellington City & Sea Collections. Objects range from a complete set of replica crown jewels to rare maritime art.
To donate or bequest an item that relates to Wellington history, or to view an item in the Collections please make an appointment. While we gratefully accept any donations or bequests, our staff are unable to accept an item until it has been through the formal acquisition process.
